Thieving scum broke into my 89 year old uncles home while he is in hospital over Christmas.

They got nothing because I have all his valuables at my place for safe keeping. My wife is upset and wants to get hold of them and put them in the same hospital as uncle.

Could have been worse.

There are just bad scumbag nothing better to do rob somebody house.

Well in for having the foresight to remove all his valuables mate.

I don't wish to make a bad situation worse but how long is due to be in hospital ?.

The reason I ask is that statistically the victim of a burglary is much more likely to burgled again in the near future - the thieves have been in and know what's there and how to get in. Even if there's no valuables there's still a boiler, copper pipe work etc that's valuable .

Ask the close neighbours to keep an eye on the place and make it as secure as possible .

If I had my way, I'd bring back the stocks for rats like them, and every friday at 5pm they'd be put in the town square and people'd be free to hurl buckets of s... at them.

And thereafter, for the following year they'd have to answer or sign for their name along with the crime they committed.

e.g. Jones the OAP burglar. Smith the mugger etc, etc.

Humiliate the dirtwads so much that others seeing what happens when they're caught, think again.

The wife works with people who put in orders for these scumbags to rob. Makes me sick.
