If I was offered Â£170,000 for a mortgage, can I build my own house instead of buying one?????

Yes, I can find this out by researching, but that would be no fun at all, would it??

I think you can yeah, at least that's what seems to happen on Grand Designs. Buying the land probably costs a lot more than building a house though I guess

Buy a canal boat.

a modest 3 bed detached would probably cost between 100k an 120k depending on the standered of finishing the land could cost alot more in reality mate
