Right never make a fence with wooden post use concrete ones if the land is on a slope stagger the height in equal lengths- use the 3,4,5 Pythagorean theory to lay down your nylon straight line with metal pegs then work out how many post and 6 ft 6 inches high plus the extra to concrete them in each hole rember 6 ft 6 inches Wooden panels is the highest you can go under planning rules...
Order the gravel boards to slot into each post at the bottom this is a tremendous way of getting your post spaced correctly...then order larch pine upright strutted fencing to slot in the day after the concrete has set, then remove your line always work to the angle of 3,4,5 which is a 90 degrees angle - paint your fence panels before inserterting them also screw small wooden wedges by each post to stop the panels shaking in the wind ...
Do not use wooden post as the bottoms will rot which everway you put them in the ground.....concrete post are forever ;)
Is there a need for salt in this operation
