Buffon's remained more consistent, over a longer period of time.

Casillas' trophy haul is greater but then Juventus aren't as big as Madrid.

Buffon is also sexier.

Clearly you haven't watched Buffon this year, then. Been great for Juve. More clean sheets than goals conceded in Serie A!! Of course the incredible defence ahead of him plays its part (Bonucci has been outstanding) but he's still got it, even at 37.

Casillas has been the more successful keeper and still has time to add to his CV although Buffon has been the more consistent over the past 15 years but given a choice between the two I'd pick Tim Howard.
