Bruno v Tyson documentary

I read Tyson’s autobiography which is a really good read actually.
He didn’t bother training for both of the Bruno fights like he didn’t
for a lot of his fights. I wonder if Bruno watches that fight back
and thinks. ‘What if?’ Another couple of decent punches and
Boxing history might have been very different.

Tyson under Cus D'Amato was on course to be the GOAT, but after Cus died Tyson didn't have the same worth ethic and it eventually told in his performances.

Still far too good for ol Frank, though.

Na mate Tyson was gone there imo, I reckon a jab would have put him down. Can't remember, remember being gutted when Buster Douglass beat him, but did he use combinations to put Tyson down or was it a good punch ?
Another thing Bruno had a hell of a dig himself, reckon Tyson underestimated him there.
Douglas hit him with the kitchen sink for about 10 rounds, Tyson said in his book which he was very honest in all aspects in and said the Bruno thing was mainly just a shot that caught him off balance as he threw his own shot. Bruno just wasn’t good enough to beat Tyson even when Tyson was on the slide, unfortunately

Bruno was a top 10 contender who, through right match-making, managed to win a belt. Tyson in prison when he heard about it was so depressed thinking about the state the heavyweight division was in whilst he was locked up.

Frank's a good bloke but he was never in the same echelon as Tyson, Lewis, Holyfield or Bowe.
Yep I make this about right, the 90s were a really good era, I wouldn’t even give Bruno much of a chance against the likes of Mercer, Tua, Briggs, Golota etc when they came along. Tyson was the most gifted but Lewis was the man of his era

He had a hard hit but he was an all round good boxer. I don't think he gets the credit he deserves because of his public persona and later mental health issues.
He was good Frank, just seemed to lack some composure when he got put in trouble against the very best. Guess that's why he wasn't quite at their level.

He did well against Witherspoon, who was a class fighter. Was winning a hard fight iirc and then a 50/50 exchange in the eleventh checked both of their chins, with Bruno going to pieces.

Thought it was good, only thing I was a little disappointed with is I thought the part they’d sit down together would be longer
