After some indepth vault trawling, I checked and there was a thread but its too old to post

Are you brave enough to pull it off?

Theres a enormously difficult balance, making them look right and not odd on your feet by wearing something that matches. But, heres the big but. You cant have the thing that matches be the exact same tone brown - otherwise your sexuality looks suspect.

Though, come to think of it. Putting this much effort into thinking about it has made my sexuality look suspect.

It would appear that GOT regulars looked on brown shoes with suspicion.

I get some stick for pairing brown shoes with navy suits, but I do it anyway. Brown shoes with medium to light grey suits as well. I still wear black cap toes or oxfords with dark grey or black suits, but I love a brown brogues with a grey suit.

Be interested to see Brit vs Yank split on this. Is brown considered acceptable for business/suits/etc in England? (I'll exclude Wales, etc, here).
