British Olympic Sailing Medalist Dead in San Fransisco

British Olympic double medalist Andrew Simpson dies in boating accident whilst preparing for the Americas Cup in San Fransisco.

His boat capsized and was trapped underneath it for approx 10 mins.

Awful story.

Having just seen the up to date news, it looks like the catamaran had design issues.. Makes a sad story even worse if it was preventable..

The sailors are required to wear helmets, wet suits and carry oxygen with these new boats.
The cats are clearly next generation, but Christ they must be quick.
