Simply terrible over-reliance on electronic drum beats and synths - and replacing musical talent with videos to help sell.

My teen years should have been a highlight musically - as it happened I went through the 80s with my fingers in my ears.

British music in the 80's was amazing. Soft Cell, The Cure, Jesus and Mary Chain.

The drum machine and synths are/were great as anyone could just go and make music.
