Mad when you think that on the Wrestlemania 7 card from 1991, there are now 3 matches were everyone involved is now dead - Savage vs Warrior (including Elizabeth & Sherri also dead), Perfect vs Boss Man and Texas Tornado vs Dino Bravo, plus a further 4 matches where at least 1 of the people involved is now dead - British Bulldog; Earthquake; Hawk; and Demolition Crush.

So basically half of the 14 match card has been affected by premature deaths.
Never knew that......

thats insane. Had this on VCR back in the day.

I know it's after the event but watching HOF and Raw last night, Warrior actually looked ill. He was blowing hard after shaking the ropes for 5 seconds. I've seen him in a few shoot videos and he never looked like that.

Orndorff was pretty ripped wasn't he? Had to check, but the guy who used to be The Warlord is, amazingly, still alive.

Anyone ever read about the von Erich family? The Texas Tornado and his one leg probably the most famous. Unbelievably tragic.

Anyway, RIP Warrior. You were mental, [Poor language removed] in the ring, and had hideous politics, but you somehow managed to be one of the most recognisable images for an entire generation.

Was he mate? I pictured him of a build similar to Piper but before my time so probably wrong about that.

Used to love the Warlord and Barbarian. Wonder if he's still alive too.

The Von Erich's didn't have much luck like. I'm sure Warrior commented on that family before and their use of drugs. Similar to when he commented on Davey Boy's early death. Ironic he only lived till 54 himself.

Jimmy 'Superfly' Stukka
Hacksaw Jim Duggan
Coco B'ware
No idea where these three names have come from as I wasn't brought up on the Sky box, but I remember them.

Edit: Jimmy Snuka - I had no idea that he killed/murdered his girlfriend and the case was still open against him. Massive cranial injury.
The pic of warrior with his two young girls is really saddening. In just 18 years he seemed to have put on about 40 years. A shock and a waste.

Not to be nit picky but it was his foot not leg, if you can track them down there's two fantastic documentaries about the Von Erich family and their promotion World Class Championship Wrestling. One was produced by WWE called The Triumph and Tragedy of WCCW and the other was an independent one called Heroes of World Class

People banging on about Vince, come on. What do you expect? He's an incredibly successful businessman. To get to that level you have to be a c word for vagina / sociopath.

Your quite right. He did look ill or well not quite right. I suspect he didn't feel himself all weekend but decided to carry on thru the weekend not taking seriously the symptoms he was having.

You only have to look at many of the interviews he had leading up to that weekend that he was in fine health. Nothing like how he appeared that HOF weekend.

He was my favourite EVER. Pretty much watched wrestling just because of him!! Been going over his old matches with my boy this past weekend with him being inducted into HOF. He'd signed a new deal with wwe and I lived in hope we'd see maybe the odd match here and there.

Looking at him only weeks ago you'd have no doubt he would of been capable of doing so, this past weekend he looked...no chance of having a match!

Shame it wasn't picked up on a bit sooner, he may of still been here!

RIP Warrior - My first ever hero!

Crazy how many have died from the late 80s early 90s

Correct me if im wrong but I dont think theres any player from our 80s title winning sides dead yet? Puts it into perspective when you think like that

His father and grandfather died in their 50's, might have nothing to do with lifestyle or abuses etc on this occasion.

He looked absolutely fine on Monday, what the hell...

RIP Warrior.

he looked terrible....he was out of breath just walking to the ring, he looked like he was in alot of pain, and seemed very uncomfortable (particularly when he took of his face mask at the end of the speech)....

surprised no one at wwe noticed it and had him assessed by their medical team (maybe they did who knows)....

sad news though...RIP....

Miss Elizabeth was from the city I live in (she and Savage both first made their names here in the territory days). Lots of people I know knew her, and said she was the nicest person you'd ever meet. That one was incredibly sad.

The Ultimate Warrior lived in Scottsdale, Arizona - a wealthier suburb of Phoenix. Was at the Warrior Dash in Phoenix on Saturday... so for lots of folks it became the Ultimate Warrior Dash.

a team full of ladiez were sporting the Warrior make up, and some kid went in a full on warrior costume, complete with the streamers tied around his biceps. (Was amusing as he was only 150 pounds, so half the bulk of the wrestler), so fitting tribute was paid in form.
