On Sunday I had to shave my head after I forgot to reattach the number 2 attachment to the clippers after trimming my sideburns and ploughing a furrow up the back of my head! Two days later my wife was diagnosed with cancer. Obviously it is a sad time for us both but, after hearing the announcement on Talk Sport, l decided to use my before and after photos and set up a Brave The Shave profile. I know the rules here probably mean I can't post a link to it but if anyone wants to make a Facebook friend request I'll accept it and you'll be able to see the link and any contributions, no matter how small, would be gratefully received. All I ask is that no one mentions my wife as having cancer because she hasn't told her son and daughter and doesn't want a fuss anyway. In fact she is more worried for me than herself, which is typical of her caring nature.

Thank you in advance.

Thanks to you all for your donations and good wishes. Sue will have a CT scan and an MRI scan next week, then she has an appointment on August the 3rd at Guys Hospital in London where she'll find out the results. If it's contained then the prognosis is good and an hysterectomy should be an end of it. My glass is never half empty so I am not going to dwell on what happens if has spread. However, the day after the news is delivered we sail off on cruise to the Noweigan fjords, booked long before. Hopefully it will be an enjoyable time. I will post an update if the news is good. If it's bad, well, I don't know.

Really sorry to hear that lad. My wife had a cancerous kidney, now removed and hopefully cured, and I can understand the thoughts and emotions you are both going through. Believe that she will beat it, live each day and enjoy life. I really hope that she comes through this, all the best, Pete........
