Brainless footballing stupidity

Those two Newcastle defenders, Williamson and Janmaat, getting their second yellows the other week and getting themselves suspended were probably two of the dumbest footballing acts of stupidity I have ever seen.

And then I remembered Stuart Barlow and his two yellows in 90 seconds having come on as a sub in an absolutely crucial away game at Ipswich in late 1994/95 season. In the end, Rideout's goal got us a scrappy and undeserved 1-0 win and we were officially safe from relegation. But no thanks to Barlow.

Jigsaw.

Wycombe last night. They stopped putting men forward for free kicks in the first half of extra time and even had a break away in the last minute of ET and ended up playing it back. 1-0 and you stop trying to score then you're taking away one of your options and made absolutely no sense at all. Deserved to get beat.
