Bradford stadium disaster

How come this never gets any coverage when it's anniversary comes around ? Hillsborough is constantly remembered and given tons of coverage and yet hardly anyone knows anything about the Bradford tragedy ?

People die every day. If we had a memorial for every single accident where a number of people died then that's all you'd ever read about.

I know people die everyday, but the same logic can be applied to Hillsborough, the Munich plane crash etc.

It's basically because they are a small club isn't it.

If it happened to Preston,Bury,Luton instead of one of the biggest sides in Europe it would not get as much press

It's a mixture of them not being as big a club, the disaster not being quite on the same scale (not that it makes any difference), and the obvious added controversy surrounding the Hillsbrough disaster. I agree that it should be given more coverage though.

RIP Bradford fans.

Funnily enough this came up at work today when United fan said the same thing about the lack of coverage on it's anniversary, and i said yeah its just the same with the Ibrox disaster and had a table full of blank face's looking back at me, not one of them(and there all big football fans) knew anything about it.

Massive tragedy. I remember seeing this live on TV. It was just incredible the speed at which the fire moved once it had gotten a hold..........

I wouldn't recommend watching the Bradford city disaster footage on youtube. Some things can't be un seen.

RIP to the Fans that lost their lives.

Massive respect to firemen everywhere, it's scarey how awesome and destructive Fire can be.
