Bradford City fire anniversary

Just listened to a play called The 54. A drama featuring eyewitness accounts (spoken by actors) of the terrible fire. Includes the local radio commentary. A truly horrific programme, detailing how awful it was for people in the stand that day, and its aftermath. By a horrible twist of fate the stand was due to be demolished in the following days.

Thanks, listened to it, the most absurd thing is how complacent we all were back in those days. H&S may have gone mad, but if it stops this type of incident from ever happening again it is worthwhile.

but some of it is so basic its amazing how things were allowed to happen, like fences penning people in at the front and locked fire/exit doors at the rear.
