Free, free Palestine.
12 year old boy hauled out of class and threatened by police for organising a protest on Facebook against the closure of his local youth club, which happens to be in David Cameron's constituency.

Inclined to take with a pinch of salt as it's the Mirror, but a plague on the authorities involved in this if there's a grain of truth in it. What kind of country are we creating here?

One where protest is a thing of the past; one where it's ok to have queues snaking down the road for a box of free cornflakes and a bag of spuds; one where pensioners cant turn a fire on because they fear the ignominy of not being able to pay a gas bill; one where a crisis caused by throwing 700 billion quid at a bankers cake and arse party gone wrong is paid for by the people on the lowest rungs of society in terms of slashed living standards and swingeing cuts....

A country fit for heroes to live in. Where did our dream go wrong? (Thatcher philosophy 1980s that's where)

Nail pretty much on the head, I'd say - although I haven't seen the queues, apart from where supermarkets / hospitals / shops etc aren't employing enough people to deal with the work.
