Maybe just different cultures, then. 13 is still a kid, 7th grade for most. Some 7th graders are half-grown and already chasing skirt, others are kids that haven't even begun to think of life post-Pokemon.

Must be different cultures, the only reason you were called a weirdo for carrying a replica gun at that age was because it wasn't a real one. Huyton, for ya.

Justice for the deaf.

One would think a warning shot to gauge situation after verbal warning whilst partner covers suspect.

Shot with pistols at relatively close range right?

Kid could have been Aspergers or something. They just dont want to be arsed checking, the shower of murderous bastards.

I wonder if Piers Morgan will have anything to say on the subject?

On reflection, I think he might.

As you know from your bovine sharpshooting mate the aim is to go in hard, startle, then deal with the threat.

People generally freeze when they get guns pointed at them in a loud, chaotic scene.

Sad when kids are getting shot like.

Hope someone tells the Army that ffs.

Guns don't kill people..
American coppers do
Its in their constitution
So they have the right to...

I am slowly starting to come round to that argument. I really do think there is something wrong with the American psyche which seems to encourage people to shoot first and ask later. Not sure if it is fear or just a blatant disregard for others. It's not the only country in the world where guins are legal, but we don't seem to see the level of murder or accidental shootings in any other country.

You never, ever fire a warning shot. If you discharge your weapon, it should be aimed at center mass.

I remember a story about an Italian policeman who fired a warning shot into the air, it killed an innocent bystander.

The police followed their training, but as mentioned before, they need to exercise better judgement on when to discharge their firearm.
