Bowie: Your favourite songs?

Under Pressure is one of my all time favorite songs for the record. I also prefer Nirvana's version of "Man" too.

To be fair I'm a tad biased, with my infallible adoration for Nirvana. So much so I'd probably prefer a Cobain cover of "Imagine", haha. But I do think the intimate intensity of the gig, coupled with the emphatic acoustic element, as well as Cobain's vocals, really elevate an already fantastic song to something even better.

Oh, and "Five Years". Can't believe I forgot that. Love that song to bits... In fact the whole Ziggy album is just immense.

1. Modern Love - powerful, but quite raw for Bowie
2. Ashes to Ashes - pure psychedelia
3. Life On Mars - so different for it's time
4. Let's Dance - love the echoey sound
5. Young Americans - Bowie goes funky

Where to start? One of my favourite all time artists. Ziggy stardust works best as a complete album. Of course his early work is his best but if i had to choose one song ....

By the way, this one often gets forgotten. In my opinion his last great song ......

This'll get RFUS all excited, and I don't usually enjoy covers half as much as the original, but Man Who Sold The World by Nirvana is imo a superior version, I absolutely love it, so much emotion, and edge to it.

Listening to Moonage Daydream now...

God I love this song. I mean, if it was possible to construct a top 10 of my favourite songs, this would be on it for sure. Along with 100 other songs, but still. ACE.
