Boston Red Sox win World Series, Liverpool win Premier League

That's what my mate in Bostons just told me, apparently Liverpool are destined to win it this year now the Red Sox have finally won the world series.

Wow! Seriously? Like most English people I neither follow nor understand baseball. It is however present in our consciousnesss due to watching American films. It feels like more of an integral part of American society than Football (soccer) is in England. I honestly had the Red Sox down as one of the mammoths of the game. I thought the 'super classic' match was The Giants v The Red Sox
