Boss in the reserves, not all that in the first team.

Hard question. Do you mean people who lit up the reserves and never got a chance - if so there are plenty - or those who would bang them in for the reserves but were **** when brought in for first team matches? If the latter then I'm afraid recent examples will be rarer given the state of the reserve league, it's not as serious as it once was, and it's hard to guage playing well in it, as it doesn't seem to be taken seriously. Gueye is probably one though. Anichebe?

Gawd..if you're going that far back....Bryan Griffiths!....Bobby Laverick... Jimmy Fell....
I chose him because as a kid I went to every reserve game at Goodison.Veall really looked a world beater but in his limited fist team games looked lost, but then he up against Morrisey and Temple for his place

Heres two for you David Johnson who in the first team as a younster had everything speed a good shot many chances but kept on hitting the woodwork - sold to Ipswich - came back to the Sh*te and scored for fun - his second spell he was past it -
Steve Macmhon was the best young midfielder I had seen again sold away to Aston Villa {I think} only to return, & to be the Sh"tes star midfielder!

Thats what can happen if you do not persevere with younger players!
