Boss attacker or a keeper ?

Think this deserves a thread of its own.

I've played, watched and coached football for over thirty years now , in my opinion anybody who ended up in goal was purey because they were not good enough to be picked to play out.... Example being the fat smelly kid at school that nobody picked so always ended up last pick and got shoved in goal.

Where woud you choose to play ?



Bear in mind, even fat, unfit people can play in goal.....you can even have your own packed lunch if you like whilst the game carries on with you on the periphery.

I can play in goal.

Left wing.

Or up top.

I'll choose in goal though as I enjoy it the most there. If there's a better keeper than me though I'll choose left wing. And if I have to, up top.

I was a midfiled destroyer, occassional centre back. Actually started off up front as I was massive as a kid and our coach liked a target lid. But I was a bit gash at scoring goals so was moved back.

In Goal is just for a laugh every now and then

Is right, it's not a proper position really is it

Often true, but not always.

Our keeper would bang them in up front.

I have the vision of a Zidane but the technical ability of a Kilbane

CM would be my choice though, more of the ball, more of a challenge

See, Bert Trautmann played a game in goal with broken neck...... That's how easy it is..... Try playing anywhere else with a broken neck..... Can't be done.
