Yes, it's quite good
Do you know I have had it for months off Amazon, In between of not being well my brother fetched me Kevin Sheedys book around - That was a very good read, then I asked my son to order something else of Amazon prime as its his account , and I noticed the book on his list paid for , and sent an age ago - a frantic search started, and thankfully I found it!
Very impressed so far, the Dixie Dean book has been one of the best with Joe Royles so far for me - Osmans was good too.
I would love Johnny Morrissey to write one , but as he fell out with our club?

Just found this in my book collection from a car bott Everton in the 60's anuone got this its a great read -

Does George Orr still do a fanzine? remember him years ago selling one on Goodison Road.

As for books anyone got those Talkin Blue books? Ive got them both, some interesting questions in them from fans.

There were two of them, Talking Blue and Still Talking Blue, interviews with about a dozen players in each, all questions set by the fans. There are few who sadly have passed since, Dave Hickson and Brian Labone, both books are good fun to read. You can pick them up pretty cheap on Amazon.
I enjoyed them because they cover fans memories.

Thought so - I've read Still Talking Blue, but I've never been able to get hold of the first one.

Agree with much of what's been said so far. My recommendations are:

- Looking for the Toffees
- Dr France's magnificent obsession
- the Everton encyclopaedia (fantastically detailed but not dry at all - if I could only recommend one book, it would be this one)
- Rob Sawyer's Harry Catterick biography, a fine piece of work worthy of all the praise that came its way, and more. Now if Rob could consider Dixie Dean as his next subject, that would be a good thing.
