Player Valuation: £8m
Roma have offered Barcelona 10mil, but Barcelona have the option to buy him back for 10mil in two years time.

Strange. Could backfire hugely on Roma like.

European champions Barcelona have agreed to sell forward Bojan Krkic to Italian club Roma for $17.3 million.

Barcelona have an option to buy back the 20-year-old for $18.7 million at the end of the 2012-13 season, but Luis Enrique's Roma can override the clause if they pay the Spanish champions a further $40 million.

The plot thickens!

Barcelona have sold Bojan Krkic to Roma but could end up buying back the striker in two years.

The 20-year-old has left Camp Nou for £10.5m with the Spanish club having the option to bring him back at the end of the 2012/13 season for £11.4m.

Roma can block that deal and keep the Spain international but the original transfer fee would rise to £35.2m.

Why the flucking fluck did Roma agree to this ?!?!

So. They have loaned him for 2 seasons for £10.5

And barca will Pay about £750k on top of the fee they receive for him..

Barcelona really cannot lose on this. If Bojan turns out to do well (which is a virtual certainty), Barcelona can buy him back for £11m. If Roma refuse, it will cost them an extra £25m to keep him.

Basically, unless Bojan flops, he'll be going back to Barca in 2 years.

I think it's a good move by roma, having access to a young talent. If he turns out to be a world beater, they get him for 2 years effectively on loan and barca still have to buy him back so they make no loss, and in all reality in 2 years time barca will probably be looking at bigger and fresher faces and not bother to buy him back, so roma will probably end up with a player for 10 mill which barca valued at closer to 35 mill.

In summary roma ends up with 2 results,
A quality player for a relatively cheap price for his calibre/pruchase from barca
Or 2 years access to a quality player in which his costs bar some wages will be fully paid by the purchase back by barca

The more I think about this the more it seems like an ingenius deal.

If he doesn't become a world beater then Roma get a good, young player for a decent fee and Barca move on. If he does shine then Roma can sign him for good for a large fee or Barca can get him back. Roma get themselves a good player for two seasons essentially only paying wages and a glorified deposit. It's a good move for Bojan and in all likelihood a good move for both clubs. The only way it come be construed as a bad deal is if he becomes sensational and Roma can't afford the permanent fee and miss out, or they can and Barca lose out. But if that happens then Roma get a quality player to help them for 2 seasons and their money back, or Barca get a big wedge.
