My gas boiler is outside. It lights and stays lit, the thermostat says the water is hot it starts running relatively warm but not hot. Is it possible that the boiler itself is so cold it's struggling to heat up? If not can anyone help.

I've got a two year old and need hot water but can't afford plumber. Thanks

Hopefully I'll get one serious response

Here`s the one serious response you`ll get mate.

I know nothing about central heating, but I know a lad who`s a brilliant, reliable central heating engineer, who won`t rip you.

I`ve put a few lads on here onto him and he`s done a good job for all of them.

PM me if you don`t get it sorted and I`ll give you his number ( assuming you`re in Merseyside ? ).

Had similar a while back. A wild guess, but its not that new a boiler? If you can, open the inspection panel, and see if there are signs of moisture there. If so, chances are its either shorting somewhere, or a part is corroded enough to become inefficient.

It's quite new but I'll have a look. We've had some really bad weather out here last few days. Cheers

Ps, have you still got the info manual that it came with when it was fitted ?

There`s normally a guide to faults in it.
It's in Spanish :) :) I'll try dig it out or look online cheers
