With news that some players want the club to stop playing "certain songs" before kickoff, should we finally drop the cringey tunes?
The players suggesting it or me?Reckon thats a complete nonsense to be honest.

That is a very strange opinion especially when you don't actually go anyway so you'd have no idea what it makes the atmosphere like.Hate them, said it for years, I feel like they take away anything that might be intimidating about Goodison and make us seem cartoony and soft to the opposition.

They do kill the atmosphere, to be fair. Especially before the 2nd half kicks off. Not sure why they insist on playing it right up to the whistle. That is a very strange opinion especially when you don't actually go anyway so you'd have no idea what it makes the atmosphere like.
I don't think its the songs that kill the atmosphere as much as the fact that we're absolutely terrible and we all know it. I think the songs really add to the atmosphere when the crowd is up for it the singing along to spirit of the blues in the run in the last couple of years has been brilliant anyone who thinks that Bournemouth thought we were cartoony and soft when the ground was literally bouncing to that 10 minutes before kick off last season is a total idiot. You can play whatever song you want before a game against Luton in the middle of winter and its not going to get the atmosphere going. They do kill the atmosphere, to be fair.
