BLACKPOOL IT IS THEN

Out of curiousity, what rationale are they using for being confident???

How about Everton being decidely average?
In all seriousness I think the Evertonian is stirring it. I think most of us are quietly confident we have the players to hurt Everton....but it`s the other end of the pitch we`re worried about!

After seeing our rumoured team line-up for Goodison today from someone who has been accurate of late on our forum, I`m conceding that we won`t be in the 6th round draw!
It`s obvious going off it where Ollie`s priorities lie this season...:(

"decidedly average"

No offence mate, But what league are you guys in?
Good luck for today!

Have you been on the satsumas again?

Also no offence fella, but look at your League position,I`d say it`s mid-table...or average.:)
Having said that, if our rumoured team for today is correct you will win today...convincingly.:(
Just hope I`m wrong...

If I take off the Tangerine tinted specs and I`m totally honest personally I think Everton will win.:(
A few reasons why....
1.You have nowt to play for apart from the FA Cup so Moyes will be banking on this 'saving' your season.
Also he was at Hillsborough for our replay to run the rule over the teams. If he wasn`t interested he wouldn`t have been there, but sent a scout or club rep instead.
2.Ollie is caught between a rock and a hard place. I think in his heart he wants a really good Cup run this year(as I do!)...but his head tells him the West Ham game 3 days later is FAR more important to the club. With this in mind I think he may 'split' the team between genuine first teamers and fringe players. Everton won`t do this and will play their strongest eleven,I`m convinced of that. We haven`t reached the quarter final of the FA Cup since 1959-60 season and like a lot of fans I`m desperate for us to break that hoodoo. It`s just whether Ollie feels as desperate as we the fans do!
3.Moyes and Everton probably know that we won`t want a replay, as we are now into the business end of the season. Therefore Everton can afford to sit back and play it like an away game and hit us on the break, knowing we will be going for it.
4.Unfortunately(for us!)Everton have just hit a good run of form and with the return of Coleman, the emergence of big phsical striker Starcqualursi and it being Donovan`s last match for you the game has come at a bad time for us!:(
We do have a gamblers chance though, as we will no doubt come with all guns blazing.
I think we will either get hammered,lose narrowly,or win narrowly.Obviously I`m hoping the latter!(y)

dude, you almost covered all the options right there :)

we will not underestimate blackpool but, dude...we are confident too. so welcome to goodison.

*windmills

whats wrong with your line up?

Let`s just say it`s not the 'first eleven':(
Don`t get me wrong it would be decent enough...in a lot of Championship games. But against a Prem club, away from home it`s a MASSIVE gamble and probably nowhere near good enough(imo). However, there might be good options on the bench for if things start to go t1ts up early doors.
It is only the rumoured line-up though and not official yet.Having said that, the lad who posted it was spot on with his team line-up prediction last week!:(

Championship is a good league though. Beating City and Chelsea is pretty average i admit.

Just banter mate, don`t take it to heart!:)
Two terrific performances(I watched both on TV)and you appear to be doing the 'usual' Everton thing of starting slowly in a season and then getting better and better in the last few months!
You need to keep the motivation and consistency for the smaller challenges though, like Wigwam the other week...and Blackpool today.
