Well I came on to see what you lot were saying about Baines and then I just thought I'd make a post or two.
I don't mind Everton (sure you're arsed like) I remember after the Matt Busby game where your fans behaved superbly me and my mates went into town straight after the game and we went in a place called the Portland bars. It was only about half five and there was only two other lads in there, clearly scousers, anyway one of them says "look lads we know that you now but we don't want any trouble" and we said "come and sit here you wont get any trouble"
They stayed with us the rest of the night. At some point we went to the Dry bar on Oldham street which was relatively famous for a few musicians, Happy Mondays etc drinking in there and your two mentioned that they'd been among a mob of lads that had attacked the place the season before when they'd played City, I remembered the incident primarily because that same evening I was driving my beige Sierra through town, Corporation street actually and this mob of lads, I'd say 50/60 crossed the road in front of me as I was at the lights, they were singing Everton everton everton and as they did so one of them banged on my car bonnet, I was annoyed but had to let it go under the circumstances but the lads face was etched in my mind, banging on my bonnet and singing his f.ucking song. I think I'm right in saying that a couple of city got cut.
