Birmingham part company with Rowett

Still Marcus Evans mate. Doesn't seem to put a penny in.

Nowhere near as good as David Sheepshanks was.
Only catch glimpses of them on the channel 5 goals show,it must be gutting to see Norwich doing a lot better, shame the way they seem happy to just plod along

What's most impressive about rowett is not the turn around in points on the board, its handling the actual mess off it, that has plagued the club for a few years now. I honestly thought liquidation was around the corner before Rowett turned things around on the pitch, handling the issues off it.

rowett was approached by a few clubs and signed a triple his salary deal.
this season qpr approached bham and they offered him another one...unsigned.

chinese saw him lose last 2 games against newcastle and one other and sacked

They only actually paid a fee for two players, and one of them is only 20. Everyone else was loaned in or free signings; and even then they are seventh.

Rowett was able to make moves in the transfer market. He took in Diego Fabbrini, from Watford, for £1m.

He brought in others, too. Che Adams from Sheffield United for £1.3m. Winger Greg Stewart from Dundee for £400,000. Nicolai Brock-Madsen from Randers in Denmark for the same amount.

Adams was young, Stewart needed a full pre-season behind him, Brock-Madsen had been farmed out to Zwolle in Holland. Fabbrini told the manager he wanted to leave after an early-season victory over Leeds United. Since then he has been on the missing list.

Fabbrini was bought in January, after Gray was sold (and probably using the Gray money, which also funded the buys of Adams and Stewart), and Brock-Madsen was bought last summer.

Imagine him going to QPR,another poison chalice, out of the frying pan into the fire and all that.
