Right, as some know.. I'm rubbish at tech stuff.

This week, my eldest at school has to start paying for his stuff using biometrics..

So, for example.. He pays for school dinner using his thumbprint.

I load money onto his account and he can spend a max of £5 a day in school.

This is bloody space age sh*t to me lads.. Has anyone got any tips for it ? Can it go wrong ?

Ta.. NHD.

We used it in school, just make sure no one hacks his finger off like they did to me.

It's sound as long as he's got enough money on it.

Just a form of i.d. mate

You can infact install it on your front door for keyless entry.

At some airports you can queue jump by using a thing that scans your eyeball (Amsterdam has it), you do obviously have to register and get your eye scanned to use it, when I saw it though they were through in seconds whilst the rest of us had to line up and show our passports.

Yeah. A school keeping a biometric database of every kid's thumbprint. I'm sure no expense has spared in keeping that particular server secure. What could possibly go wrong?

I'd be a bit concerned myself.

I've got someone into a Navy Base using 20 Regal Kings... As an ID card.. Don't be silly..
