Billy will move over the right where hopefully he'll find some sort of chemistry with Heitinga like Pienaar and Baines have.
Once Arteta returns and the center midfield is solidified, you might see some more true winger play out of Billy but until then, both Pienaar and Billy will range into the middle.
When all are fit, I think Billy, Pienaar and Arteta should be MF staples. Tough call on the other MF if Moyes uses a 4-4-2. If he goes to a 4-5-1, Saha/Yak become interchangeable, Neville plays DM and Cahill/Fellaini fill the 5th MF spot.
There's a master plan behind what Moyes is doing but injuries have kept him from putting it all on the field at once.
I am not sure if he was injure or anything, but I think since we lost the game already and Billy has already played 60 mins, might as well save him for Bolton.
If we are only a goal down I think he would have play to the end, apart from Billy I am also concern with the well being of Baines, Yobo, Osman and Pienaar. Would any of them make it this weekend.
Especially Baines, I think it is not a good idea to used Coleman again, after what he just went through may be we could try Billy or Neill there? if Baines are not ready!
Because he played well and gave a good all round performance. Good footwork, intelligent in possession and looked for the ball and tried to make things happen.
Sadly you, like alot of our fans, want to see a pacy, touch line hugging winger. That is just not going to happen, it's not what he is.
Why did we buy him? Because he's a good player and the type of wide player Moyes seems to prefer. Intelligent in possession, good passing ability and a good left foot. That's what he offers us.
I want to see more from him myself but we have to be realistic, he's still adapting to a League and style of play that is completely different to the one he's used to. Naturally, it's going to take him time to settle in.
Do we have that time? Its a luxury we do not have.
It's the case with alot of foreign talent, even some British players. They need games and momentum to settle into a new side, a new League and a new style of play. It happens, that's football.
Is it ideal? No, but that's the situation we find ourselves in. Moyes has to sell to buy and we usually do our business late.
