i remember when he arrived and a clip from Russian TV made it onto Youtube.
He was giving them a tour of the city and showing them how he coloured in his boots blue with a marker pen because he learnt that an Everton player simply does not wear red.

Haha, I find it hard to believe any Everton fan suggesting he could go onto play for Real Madrid.

Really hoped it would work out for him with us, just wasn't good enough, regardless of position.

I do find this saddening as I like the guy, genuinely do. He just doesn't seem to be a terribly good footballer.
