Slaven Bilic has been sacked as West Ham manager with the team in the Premier League relegation zone.

Bilic's last game in charge was Saturday's 4-1 defeat by Liverpool at London Stadium.

A statement from West Ham said the club believed a change was necessary "to move forward positively and in line with their ambition."


Former Everton and Manchester United boss David Moyes has been strongly linked with succeeding Bilic.

West Ham say Bilic's coaching assistants Nikola Jurcevic, Edin Terzic, Julian Dicks and Miljenko Rak have also left the club with immediate effect.

"The club's search for a new manager to take West Ham United forward is under way and an announcement regarding Bilic's successor is expected to be made over the coming days," added the statement.
 

I like the bloke me, seems really down to earth. Hopefully, he'll accept his fate to succeed as the Sunderland manager :cool:lol Seriously though, wasn't surprised, think that 4-1 defeat to Liverpool was the final straw.
 

Got to give him immense credit for his honesty this morning. Too many managers leave with the hard done by angle and won't acknowledge why they were sacked.

That said, he stole millions from us so I still hate him.
 
Poor West Ham fans now they have to suffer the rest of the season watching putrid keeping shape dour football.

He's in the last chance saloon now. Moyes such a sad indictment on English football,how him and same trophy less frauds like LMA favourites Bruce Hodgson Hughes Pulis McLaren Allardyce Pardew etc who are all tactically inept besides playing dour mundane boring football and get chances beyond chances for lucrative jobs and get rewarded for failure and do the same failure again.I swear it's better than winning the lottery is being a British premier league manager,the odds are so much better and you end up getting a lucrative cheque at the end.
