j'accuse!
Everton face a huge rebuild but has a core of experienced first teamers to build around.

Promoted teams have bigger squads to build from, but are mostly new to the Premier League.

Both need to spend big to survive the coming season. But which is the bigger challenge?

Everton are an established premier league team with a solid spine. Squads a bit thin but we'll be fine under Moyes.

The promoted teams as always will struggle.

Sunderland getting a past it Xhaka and Leeds with their signings will undoubtedly go back down again.

Anyone who thinks otherwise hasn't been watching the prem the last few years, there's always worse teams.

Weve got established PL players.

What do any of the others have? Leeds most experienced player is Jack Harrison, in terms of the league.

Burnley have very little experience.

Sunderland is more or less Granit Xhaka. It goes a long, long way.

We can also consider revenues available from sponsorships, fan base, stadiums, etc.

Championship clubs stepping up have increased revenue, but no more than what Everton are also receiving.

I think Everton has advantages here.

I must have been funny on accident, no idea what I’ve done here.
We've had a lot of the squad leave for out of contract, and there's very twitchy sphincters because we've got 14 outfield players currently, then there is the "Moyes is talking us down" brigade. You wrapped both aspects up in one line like a top KC. Succinct, matter of fact, cold, firm.

Just how I like it.

Last season all 3 promoted teams were relegated for the second season on the run.

This has never happened in the any other top flight league ever.

3 promoted teams have been relegated before, but not all 3 in back to back seasons.

We're trying to move a lower-mid PL side to upper-mid. It's difficult as we're bumping up against the clubs in European competitions.

Moving a Championship club to safety in the PL has to be more difficult, especially given the current financial regulations.

Not only is your squad full of Championship players, they've likely played a certain way to get out of the Championship that will not work in the PL. They've added to the squads, but they'll still have half their squad either unproven or sometimes worse, players who have proven their ceiling is the Championship.

Perhaps Burnley can keep a compact shape, but does anyone think they'll score enough to stay up? Unlikely. Leeds may score goals, not 90 plus, but will their defensive shape hold? Unlikely. Sunderland is a wildcard, it seems they're brining in talent but I'm not sure it's enough, not only were they far behind the PL clubs, they were pretty far behind the two automatic promotion clubs.

The Championship is one of the top leagues in the world, but I still think there's never been a bigger gap between the PL and Championship as what exists now.

I feel like every season people keep saying “the newly promoted teams won’t be as bad as last year” and every year they continue to stink the place out at an as yet before seen rate.

Long may it continue.

Id be shocked if they weren't.

Leeds id hazard, at the first chance they can, will sack Farke, and they may have a chance.

Sunderland & Burnley i dont fear, I dont really fear Leeds either, but no doubt theyll beat us opening night.
