Had this exact conversation with the old man last night....I wanted rid of big Vic for 95% of his time here but I really thought he showed his best form in the final half of his last season. Martinez came in and he obviously didn't fit his plans....I was a bit gutted cos we invested so much time in him and just when he started to show something we opted to replace him with bigger dross.

we all had a chortle when Martinez sold him fro 6-7M
