For me Big Dunc is what the modern Everton should be all about. Total commitment (y)

True. We need more players that scare the [Poor language removed] out teams, even your own.

Someone who'd come on the pitch if we're playing [Poor language removed] and threaten violence on them if they didnt start playing well -- it was the Duncan Way.

Thats my Saturday morning sorted out trip to my local bookstore, Big Dunc...top enigma :D

big dunc will never be a legend in my eyes-always injured, low goal tally, getting sent off when we really needed him.real legends-ball,kendall,dean,sharpy,reid,southall to name but a few

I can't argue with that logic either but there was something about him. When he came on the pitch he brought a buzz about the place. It was as if he alone could make things happen.
The reality was of course that he seldom did but there is still a magical quality about a man that can have that sort of effect on people.
He was a lovable rogue for me. I used to scream and cuss at him for getting sent off when we needed him but his presence was immense.
I would give anything to see a player lift the crowd like he did. We need something like that really badly just now.

Legend? Well maybe not but still a huge figure in many Evertonian eyes.

I remember seeing Ferguson playing at Selhurst Park, Wimbledon, and even that scumbag Vinnie Jones would not go anywhere near him.
In my opinion the man is a legend.

gutted when he first left, wasn't the same player when he came back, he must've got that newcastle injury jinx while he was up there.
won't buy the dvd but if someone gets me for crimbo i'll gladly watch it n think "where was ya the other 80% of the time?"
