Player Valuation: 1p
What with san marino playing England, I've mentioned their best player Massimo Bonini a few time who was actually world class and won the european cup with juventus and was the bracewell in that side who let the flair players like Platini, Boniek and Brady do their stuff. There's an anecdote that the Juventus chairman caught Platini smoking cigars and drinking wine after a training session and expressed his concern and Platini pointed at Bonini and said 'as long as he's fit you don't have to worry, he's the one who does all the running'.

So best players from crap countries.

George Best obviously. Louis Pilot from Luxembourg. Magico Gonzalez from El Salvador. George Weah. Ecuador's Alberto Spencer. Wynton Rufer from New Zealand.

Wonder if you could form an 11 made solely from players who's national teams were out of the top 100 rankings at the time.

Mart Poom can be the goalie. (Jennings and Southall were actually in half decent sides)

Ibra? I know Sweden generally qualify for major tournaments but apart from Ibra and maybe Rasmus Elm there isnt much in that team...

I'm not great with historical players, but using current players I'd go for something like:

Al Habsi (Oman)
Micah Richards (England) Subotic (Serbia) Vidic (Serbia) Baines (England)
Vidal (Chile)*
Belhanda (Morocco) ------------- Shaqiri (Switzerland)
Hamsik (Slovakia)
Falcao (Colombia) Jovetic (Montenegro)

*Chile are actually pretty good, but I really struggled to think of a boss CM from a sh*t country.

England are the 5th best team in the world, lad. Colombia the 9th, Serbia the 33rd, Sweden the 21st, Chile the 17th, Montenegro 44th, Wales 57th, Slovakia 48th, Cameroon 71st, Switzerland 15th, Morrocco 75th and even Oman 95th.

So all are just too good for this question.
