Player Valuation: £70m
00's Elbow - One day like this
90's Oasis - live forever
80's Michael Jackson - Thriller
70's Led Zeppelin - Stairway to Heaven
60's Led Zeppelin - Whole Lotta Love
50's Chuck Berry - Johnny B Goode

Now you go.....

Maybe it's because I'm 'Merican, but I'd offer these suggestions:

00's Elbow - never heard of these guys, but Muse offers some good tracks; Foo Fighters are decent too
90's Nirvana - pick almost any tune over those Manchester lads; also, there was a band called Metallica that was active for a while
80's Jacko - hard to beat
70's Zeppelin is ok
60's You know, there was a group called the Beatles that were around during this time too; I'd rate them (as you Brits say)
50's Chuck Berry - no objection, but the Presley kid was also impressive

10s Jake Bugg - Two Fingers

00s Jamie T - Spider's Web

90s The Stone Roses - Ten Storey Love Song

80s The Stone Roses - This is the One

70s The Undertones - Teenage Kicks

60s - Bob Dylan - Like a Rolling Stone

Thought about that track too

At some point in my life I'll get into the Beatles I'm sure but for now, not so much, I would also say that Nirvana were nowhere near as good as Oasis and if Noel Gallagher had of died upon the release of Be Here Now, he would have been held in a much higher regard than what Kurt Cobain is.

80s - Girlfriend in a coma (Smiths)
70s - If you see her say hello (Dylan)

Im liking these choices. Think it would be hard to argue with Keep The Car Running for the 00's.

In the UK but not in the US. I was into Nirvana when i was in my early teens but it was actually Oasis that made me switch Nirvana off. Oasis were the 1st band who's sound i properly appreciated fully. I no longer wanted to listen to "I dont want to tidy my room music" and listen to songs that made you wanna go out with your mates and have a laugh!

I still listen to Nirvana now and again, but its a lot of aggression for nothing. Kurt should have taken more 'E'

2001- Get Ur Freak On, Missy Elliot
2002- Hurt, Johnny Cash
2003- Crazy In Love, Beyonce
2004- Dry Your Eyes, The Streets

2006- Rehab, Amy Winehouse
2007- Umbrella, Rihanna
2008- Paper Planes, M.I.A.
2009- The Fear, Lily Allen
2010- Bad Romance, Lady Gaga
