Seen a lot but the one that always sticks in my mind was Ken Dodd charity show in the hospital social club at Broadgreen. He just kept going, simple jokes, but quick and constant. Absolutely superb.

I went to see Doddy at the Parr Hall in Warrington about 10 years ago and that was the best show i've ever seen. Over 3 hours of absolute nonsense and all of it hilarious.

Same with Frank Carson at the Playhouse - old school.
Bernard Manning at the embassy - not for todays snowflakes

Bernard Manning. Very, very funny. Not exactly PC, but he was a true stand up comedian. Saw him in the Hamilton Rooms in Birkenhead in the late 1970's and missed half of his act trying to breathe!
