Hey everyone,
I'm from Sydney and travelling through europe the next couple of months and I am going to be in liverpool for the merseyside derby. Hoping to take my dad to the game as we have been die hard supporters our whole lives. signed us up as foreverton members. Just need help on where we should sit as I have read alot of seats are obstructed. Any advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Best view: Lower part of Top Balcony.

Best fascilities: Park End

Best noise: Lower Gwladys

Can't have it all - but if you're mint go for one of the hospitality packages and you'll be seated in the Main Stand with a good view.

I've finally sat in all parts of the stadium, best atmosphere is Gwladys street, Park OK atmosphere better view, main stand is probably best view but a little bit quiet but where I'll look to buy tickets in the future. Paddock low down was good, close to players but view wasn't great due to the pitch camber and the mofo's made me queue for 20 mins for hotdogs before shutting up shop as I got to the hatch so the paddock/bullens can be knocked down and redeveloped as far as I'm concerned and I'd send that miserable jobsworth inside to count hotdogs before I let rip with a giant wrecking ball with miley Cyrus blairing from loud speakers....

Obstructed seats are highlighted when you buy them so you should be able to avoid them.

Go to the evertonfc Tickets page and look at the seats available for games now on sale. You'll see that most seats are already taken by season tickets and hospitality. The unsold seats with an obstructed view are marked in green. Register your name - if you want two tickets, you will need to register two names. Join foreverton if you want the extra days of priority booking - especially for the derby game.

The Park End has a cantilever roof, so no columns. The other stands all have columns, supporting either the upper tier or the roof. So there are a lot of seats with a column between them and the pitch. Where a column blocks the sight of goal, the seats are usually marked 'obstructed view'.

But the worst seats are at the back of the Lower Gwladys Street and Lower Bullens Stands. It's not clear from the seating plans, but they are underneath the upper stands, and the view is like looking through a letter box. When the fans stand up - when the ball crosses the halfway line - you can't see at all. Further, there are more columns - and some very substantial ones - towards the back.

The stands on the sides of the pitch give you a better view of the tactical game. The seats at the front give you a closer view of the players. The seats at the back behind the goals are a long way from the far goal. The seats towards the back of the stands will be out of the rain.

Avoid the back of the Main Stand. Unless you enjoy a view of concrete. Just think a letter box. The back of the Gwladys you will be lucky to see the other end of the pitch. The Park End, Paddock and Top Balcony are best if you actually want to see what is happening on the pitch.

Love the view from upper bullens especially the first 5/6 rows. If you can get UB3/4/5 anywhere near row A-F do it. You won't get a better view.

Atmosphere wise it's got to be the lower Gwladys. But it's also full of tadgers

Unfortunately you are wanting to go to the biggest game of the season which means seats are at a premium and you will have to take what's on offer if your lucky!!

I would take AndyGrays advise if money isn't an issue and go for hospitality as I think it might be the only way to guarantee a seat, good luck though and it would be Main Stand for me.

Just out of interest, how much of the ground is taken up by season tickets/hospitality for the non-massive games? I've bought the Foreverton membership and will be at the Wednesday night Newcastle match in February, and was just wondering if I'm a show of getting something decent if I'm in there straight away.

I've never actually tried to get derby tickets, are they usually obtainable for the non-season ticket holder? Always assumed you'd never get them if you weren't a ST holder.

They are easy enough to get if you are a Forever Everton member. Once it goes to general sale you have to be in quick for the first couple of days on sale, but only obstructed views :(

27500 st holders plus 3000 away supporters plus 2000 hospitality does not leave a great deal (39500 - 32500 = 7000).

These seats will all be obstructed views - sorry to be the bearer of bad news for those who are visiting for the first time, hospitality would be the way and some isn't too expensive.
