Best Pubs or Clubs in Liverpool for live music?

Coming to Liverpool for a night out with a couple of mates next Saturday and wondered which pubs/clubs in town are likely to have any decent love bands on?

The Kazimier usually has interesting bands on, but it's more of a concert venue than a pub.

Saw a band Mervin Gersh there last Saturday - they were boss! They sometimes play at the Albert lark lane.
