Depends who's making the pie tbh.
the 3 best pies I ever had were, cronologically;
Hollands meat and potato pie (and chips) in the late 60s from the chippy opposite the Royal Oak Muirhead Ave.
A standard meat pie, from a butcher in the then Widnes market in the late 80s early 90s, this was a taddte beacon in those days.

I didn't need to read the list. Steak and kidney is the only choice, and will be the only choice after I take power.

Those who go for simply steak, because they 'don't like kidney' are responsible for chippies only ever having a steak pie ready for sale.

These are the same kind of people who cause shop or restaurant chillies to he bland because they want to order chilli but dont want it with any chilli in it because they don't like heat.
