In your opinion What is the best league in the world and why?

Spanish for me. Better players, teams and the style just wins me over.

Premier League easy, we put ourselves down too much the Spanish and germans would love a league where 5th place is 2 points of 2nd man. Spain and Germany both glorified SPL with two dominate teams

United have won the league 13 times out of 21 lad
Better teams though in Spain. Real Betis who are currently bottom of la liga would hammer Sunderland.

Atletico have got a solid team now, I honestly wouldn't count them out of the league just yet.

Don't watch enough of them to know really. Bundesliga is pretty good, although it's hard to look past the premier league this season with so many unpredictable results

Maybe each league has it's individual qualities and character.

Would measuring attendances be a better indicator of the most sought after to watch league in the world?

That could be counteracted with how well those economies are doing and whether it's more affordable.

Maybe there's no answer.

aye but Utd, Arsenal, Chelski and Citeh are still potential winners, in la liga its a 2 horse race same as in Germany.

Put it this way- Chelsea vs West Brom is no forgone conclusion, same as Man Utd vs Cardiff, now your telling me Barcelona vs Real Betis or Real Madrid vs Osausna have as much unpredictability. even the TV deals in Spain we would be ****ed the lack of media exposure/respect we get in the media its a sham the teams have better quality due to the style of play/general ability on the ball of the Spanish but the PL is just so unpredictable like when Citeh won the title them last 2 goals in injury time absolutely amazing stuff Real would have had that game sewn up 4-1 by 80 minutes with a Ronaldo Brace.

The top leagues are pretty comparable in terms of competitiveness. Since 1999-00, there's been 4 different spanish champions, 4 different english champions, 4 portuguese champions, 5 german, 5 italian and 8 french.

And in terms of CL qualification, over the same time period it's 7 portuguese teams, 9 english, 11 german, 11 french, 11 italian and 13 spanish.

The prem is no more competitive than any other. Ferguson dominated english football the way few teams have ever done on the continent.

Utd certainly dominated but in recent years with their debt levels and the rise of monied clubs in Citeh and Chelsea the league has gotten much less predictable, same as with the TV deal/billionaire owners of other clubs teams are now capable of attracting higher calibre of players. For me we wouldn't be the most watched league in the world if we wasn't the best, same way Utd wouldn't have the most supporters in the league if they weren't the biggest club in England.

Are you saying Atletico, Villareal, Sevilla, Betis are all bad teams. Don't forget Bilbao and Valencia.

Nope, but the Bundesliga has more than two decent teams as well.

In the last ten years five teams have won the Bundesliga, in the same time period only three teams have won La Liga. The Spanish league is way more of a two horse race than the Bundesliga is
