….I’d suggest an afternoon pub crawl visiting the many old boozers in town. Don’t forget to look up the little side streets for places like Ye Hole in the Wall. The Guinness will fill you but you can always ask for one of the famous meat pies in The Lion with a bit of brown sauce.

Jesus just back and in a heap, i employed your tactic of letting the Guinness fill me up on the Sunday, went to the Denbigh and the the Ye hole in the wall, both were brilliant, got absolutely smashed but when i was departing on Monday afternoon i still had my phone and all my cards so that in itself was an achievement but ya had a great weekend, people terrific as usual up there and in general the food was great too. Found a little gem in the Baltic Bakehouse for my breakfast, food and drink in general better than down the south.
