In a week when the great Dave Mackay died, he was better than Moore, Gabriel, Bremner, Baxter, Kay, Edwards an' all. I think Alex Young made his debut for us at Goodison in December 1960 in the fog against Spurs, I was on the Half way line with my Dad by the dug-out. 60,000 gate to
see the future Golden Vision, I'm afraid Mr. Mackay took the accolades that day, with a half volley from 30 yards into the top corner the Stanley Park end. Mackay was the best, but he had a 'Streak' in him the same as Roy Keane, Bryan Robbo and Bruce Rioch, I shall never forgive him for
the Jimmy Husband episode.

....we've had similar to this before. I posted about a goal at Goodison by Clyde Best of West Ham. Literally got the ball by the dug out ran down the touch line towards Gwlady Street, cut inside going past more players then lashing it home. Unbelievable Jeff.
