Best and Worst Cars You’ve Ever Owned

Worst was a golf, it spent more time getting mended than on the road.. it used to cut out if I drove through a puddle and I'd have to wait a few minutes before it would go again.. it was my first car and I hated it..
Best is my current car Skoda Octavia Estate really comfortable, efficient of fuel and loads of space.

I’ve owned 7 golfs mate and never had bother with any of them ?

Granted one of them is now 31 years old, so requires quite a bit of tlc, but that’s just down to age.

In 2014 I sold my Rover 75 (my second one) was quite pleased with them. I bought a Nissan Qashqai which I kept for 5 years and have just bought another Qashqai. I have been very pleased with them and particularly like the higher driving position. No problems at all, though I am low mileage now. You need to go on a fortnights course to find out how all the gizmo's work though.

Worst: '94 Firebird. This was a heavy 160hp V6 and a complete piece of junk. Fun to drive, though, and turned heads (looks only, it was a kitten of a sports car.) I had the same car as this in a different color.

Best: my current ride is a '16 4Runner. This is a complete beast and is the best blend of reliability and craftsmanship (made in Japan, not US like many Toyotas) of any car I've ever owned. Here she is after I put on new tires and wheels.

My favorite was probably my 2001 Tacoma, like the one below but in silver. Got this after I was engaged and before I had kids, I had nobody to haul around and nobody to impress and it was actually very fun to drive despite being a puny 2wd 4 cylinder toy truck. I'd be back in a Taco in a heartbeat if it made sense for me, but I do like what I'm riding now.

Best (Current) - Mk7 Golf R DSG - seemingly popular with retirees around here so I rarely get people hanging off the boot assuming I want a race, invariably not, I'm not MADE of petrol... BUT I COULD IF I WANTED TO you little fff...

Worst - Mk5 Golf GTI - It was probably a good car new, but I managed to pick up an absolute lemon.

Best: FIAT Panda
Worst: FIAT Panda

I've only ever owned one car. (Gets coat)

My first car - 1993 Panda that I bought immediately after passing my test in 2003 for £250 - was absolutely the worst but also the one I think of most fondly. It had done 70k already, amplified the outside temperature to whatever was the unbearable extreme (in winter I'd get ice on the inside, in summer you couldn't touch the steering wheel), and it needed a push start approximately 50% of the time. The one and old time I ever had sex in it the back wiper fell off.

Current is a 2019 Volvo XC90 hybrid, which has been fine.

Best was probably a 2002 Toyota Corolla that I bought in 2005 (to replace the Panda). I took it from 25k to over 150k over five years and it never let me down once.

Worst was my 85 Ford Bronco... Ford = found on road dead (or f’d over rebuilt dodge)

Best is my 18 Macan, love that car
