Booked flights to go in September, no idea where to stay with the city being so big. Can anyone recommened an area to stay where there are lots of bars/clubs?

Cheers

From what I know I think Prenzlauer Berg and Kreuzberg are the best places for going out mate. There are a lot of bars around Oranienburger Strasse too (I think that's Mitte, not sure exactly) but they're the more 'touristy' bars, stag dos etc.

I stayed in a great hostel in Mitte, called the circus, free beers, great brekky and really cheap rates

lots of cool bars and places to eat around, and an easy walk to most places like the gate and berliner dom and stuff

love berlin, ace place to visit

Cheers, I've looked at Mitte and thought it may be too touristy. I've been recommened about 5 different areas all over the place haha. Been looking at apartments in Friedrichshain this afternoon.

I've wanted to visit Berlin for years, instead of a beach hol this year we've decided on 4 nights in Berlin then train to Prague for a 2 nights stay there.

There's a burger joint called Burgermeister right under the tracks at Klosterstrasse station. Defo check that out.

And on that note, get familiar with the train system, it'll get you anywhere in the city.

you'll love it, I didn't mind walking around the place discovering bits that I didn't know about, you can stay in any area really, the metro or U-bahn whatever is really good

I was pleasantly suprised by the food choices in Berlin too, lots to choose from

and I'd also recommend a day at Wansee, not too far, lovely lake area for a bit of relaxing
