Harryflashman

Player Valuation: £60m
So in the past in various threads I've read what a top signing he'd be for us and also he wasn't playing because of a tony Pulis conspiracy, today's reporting seems to suggest there is a bit more to the story . The lad was banned for 8 weeks for a positive drugs test so maybe that's been an issue for a while , has this changed people's opinions?

I read in various threads that he wasn't playing because of a Pulis , agent , board conspiracy . Does seem in reality he's a bit of a whopper

I was on the bandwagon of, misunderstood, treated wrongly by pulis, pulis making excuses not to play him etc.

Got to say looking at his weird egg shape yesterday and the news that has come out today its safe to say may be a good thing to stear clear.

Or on the other hand you dont know what is going on in his personal life e.g Livermore etc.
The lad did have to flea his country at a very young age to survive a war which may effect him more than we know.
Him not getting to play the game he loves, and doing what he does best despite trying for 12 months or so may have disillusioned him in the last 6 months and he may of steared off onto the very wrong road.

We dont know hte in's and out's of what has happened here or what is going on in the lads head mentally, clubs are there to help players in these situations and i dont think west brom did that at all. They were very quick to leak this story (and yes it is west brom that leaked it), to soil the lads already tarnished reputation.

Personally, i think we will judge what sort of character he is under hughes as i think hughes will try and help him as much as possible, if he fails that, no excuses. Hopefully he can put this behind him and move on to what he does best

would like to know @Mikey_Fitzgerald opinion

My opinion is unchanged

He will do well at Stoke and will show he's a good player, and then down the line we'll be lamenting that we didn't sign him

What happened at West Brom is the past

The fact Stoke knew about the 8 week ban and still signed him for a fee with 6 months left on his deal only serves to highlight his upside

I never said he was a good person, I just said with a fresh start he could get his life and career back on track. Either he'll stick at Stoke and do well or they'll sell him on for a profit. That could have been us

He got a massive head (and arse apparently) off the back of one good season and acted up.

Not a player you want around any dressing room, and he's certainly not good enough to compensate for such an attitude.

How much did he cost Stoke?
