He has a good record, but he hasn't been the same since Ferguson broke him during the title run in they had. They would have walked the league that year if he hadn't been so conservative against teams that set up to defend deep at Anfield.

TBH its amazing that he won the CL with a side that was about 5% as good as that one was.

Aye, his conservatism and a complete absence of a relationship with any of his players that are his main weaknesses. Think this could be a disaster, personally. To win La Liga these days, it takes 90 points plus, and his teams don't generally have the ruthlessness to achieve that. He's basically a less talented but more conservative Jose Mourinho, and we know how that ended. Could win a cup, to be sure, but it won't be enough for the board I would imagine.
