what does this even mean and where does it come from???

loads of sayings around that quite literally make no sense

Originally comes from whichever nursery rhyme included "and the cow jumped over the moon", and then started to get used to indicate euphoria.

You're welcome.

It’s actually associated with the Apollo space program and can be attributed to the pilot of Apollo 7 when the planned trajectory of said rocket was perpendicular with..... ah who am I tryna kid.... it’s when yer mar pulls her pants down and lies on her stomach @Frang and all of us bukake gang mates leave our signature on her bare ass ... it’s known as over the moon

The Cow jumped over the moon nursery rhyme precedes Apollo, Nasa etc. Being Over the moon was actually of Pagan origin and means achieving heights of conscience on a spiritual level above that we can achieve in everyday living on earth.

Paganism was a part of my Cambridge University Religious Studies Masters which lead to my role as an advisor on cultural intergration. Advising amongst others, Bernard Manning, Nigel Farage and Roy 'Chubby' Brown.

Shouldn't you be out driving wagons and murdering prostitutes and stuff?
Instead you're on here trying to resurrect dead threads & posting your usual negative pap in the various 'Silva,' 'moshiri' and 'new stadium' threads.

SHUT UP AND IGNORE ME KEV
Not sure you really understand how the ignore function works @Frang . Instead of saying "shut up" YOU could always put ME (back) on ignore.
I would never put you on ignore though @Frang, although I'm not really sure why that is. Perhaps it's for the same reason that people visit freak shows. I've always had this strange fascination for wierdos.

I just realised that by definition, that actually makes me a bit of a wierdo too. Damn! :(
I'm strangely fascinated by that now.

All together now -
Strange fascinations fascinating me .............
