A law is passed in Britain outlawing consensual straight sex. Infraction of this law is punishable by death. Now then ... any view on that?
You POMS are weird enough to do that sort of thing too.

Brilliant, Giraffe.
First off, apologies to those who have deep religious convictions if I offended. you. Absolutely not intended. Using " " was meant to show that I knew they were not really religious. Truly religious people make it their business not to trot around the gaff hurting people. I know that.
I struggle to come up with an adequate definition of "Nazi" (see what I did there?), but I think it involves the inner conviction that an alternative way of life from the mainstream is, in some way criminal. Sometimes this belief is justified on a warped idea of religion; sometimes it is put down to "the good of the state".
The real problem (in my personal view) with Aids in Africa is a deep cultural belief that men prove themselves through sex and the number of children they help produce. Heterosexual Aids in Africa by far, by a million miles, outweighs Gay transmitted infection.
This, of course, doesn't suit the nutters. And so we get into increasingly bizarre discussions about executing Gays. Put the shoe on the other foot.

Ummmm. I don't think he's making any sort of homophobic comment at all. HIV rates in Africa are off the charts compared to other parts of the world.
Well that statement alone is pretty ignorant. The majority of people infected in Africa are infected by being raped. It is estimated in Africa 1 in 3 people will be the victim of a rape.being gay in Africa could kill you on two fronts, if not the HIV

Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crime_in_South_AfricaAccording to a survey for the period 1998–2000 compiled by the United Nations, South Africa was ranked first for rapes per capita.[7] One in three of the 4,000 women questioned by the Community of Information, Empowerment and Transparency said they had been raped in the past year.[8] More than 25 per cent of South African men questioned in a survey published by the Medical Research Council (MRC) in June 2009 admitted to raping someone; of those, nearly half said they had raped more than one person.[9][10] Three out of four who admitted rape attacked for the first time during their teens.[9]
That's a startling statistic if it's true. Do you have a source? A quick look at Wiki throws this up:

When you said Africa did you mean RSA or the whole continent?
I could tell you the advise you are given by witch doctors to cure yourself, but it is quite sickening.
