...I didn’t know there was such a thing as ‘following’ somebody. You learn something new every day.

I knew about it, just not sure exactly it does. Presumably alerts you if someone you follow posts something.

I would guess, a bit like buying a new car, that when Danny decided on the kit that runs the site, that "follow" was a uncharged extra feature, like electric windows are in a car.
