Made up for Cav, though not the most eloquent of individuals.
The remembering those lost this year caused me to feel a bit sad. And what was Harry Hill doing conducting the singers.

When Cav wins olympic gold next summer, where does he go?

Well in Cav. He's had an amazing year and it'll be fascinating to see how he goes now he's at Sky. No doubts the Olympics will be a big motivation and I suspect he'd like to win another Monument to go with his Milan San Remo victory a few years back, maybe MSR again or Gent Wevelgem. Super Mario won 42 stages of the Giro in his time, which shows what's possible. Cav has 20 in the Tour so far, with Eddy Merckx holding the record of 34. If he could take the record it'd be quite something, and as he's just 26 you'd think it would be very possible indeed.

Cyclings one of thoee sports thats fun to take part but well boring to watch.

Basketballs the same

Proper cycling should take place in the open air, on a country road, with a nice packed lunch attached to the pannier. The bike should have a proper wide saddle and a bell..............and a water bottle.....proper cycling......

I think it's akin to test cricket. If you're a fan boy then the way tactics unfold during the day make it exciting. If you're not then it can appear like nothing much is going on. The 2010 Giro for instance was fantastic to watch, as was the Ronde that year, whilst the Tour this year was also great to watch. Like you say though, much better to get out there and ride the mountains yourself :)

The Bondone this summer for instance was about 100minutes of climbing, yet what a view at the top.

Likewise the Gavia was a belter as well, albeit a bit tougher. Much more history from the Giro. A much nicer climb than the Mortirolo later in the day.
